PPAP 2nd Call For Proposals (31/07/12)

The World Bank funded coffee component of the Productive Partnership in Agriculture Project, has launched the second call for proposals through advertisements in the two daily papers last week.

This follows the successful distribution of K8.5 million recently to six different coffee groups approved for the first call for proposal released in early March this year.

Chief Executive Officer of the Coffee Industry Corporation Ltd, Mr. Navi Anis said in the advertisement that the project is an initiative of the Government of PNG supported by World Bank (WB) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and implemented by the Coffee Industry Corporation.

He said the partners who wish to apply must obtain proposal guidelines by either writing to the Project Manager, PPAP coffee component at the Coffee Industry Corporation’s Goroka office on post office box number 137, Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province or by phoning 5321925, fax 5322080 or email ppap@goroka.cic.org.pgor website; www.coffeecorp.org.pg

Mr. Anis said information sessions on the call for proposal guidelines will be held on 1st August at the Coffee Industry Corporation’s office in Goroka starting at 10:00 am for the Eastern Highlands Province, Mt. William Lodge in Kundiawa on the 2nd of August starting at 10:00 pm for the Simbu Province and the 3rd of August for Jiwaka at Maria Kwin Centre and Highlander Hotel for Western Highlands Provinces at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm respectively.

Completed proposals should be sent to CIC offices in each provinces and the DAL office in Banz.

Mr. Anis said the proposal guidelines will also provide the format and outline the contents of the proposal.
