"Papua New Guinea At Melbourne International Coffee Expo 2023"

“From diverse and dramatic landscapes, we’re proud to celebrate the quality coffee of Papua New Guinea. Quality Bourbon, Typica and Blue Mountain Arabica varietals planted throughout the high altitudes of PNG’s coffee lands provide a strong foundation for delicious specialty coffees and the multitude of unique micro-climates offer an exciting range of flavour profiles to discover. With coffee providing crucial income for over 2.5million Papua New Guineans, sourcing your coffee from PNG not only provides you with unique coffees for coffee lovers worldwide but will also support countless families.

We welcome you to visit booth L16 between 17th – 19th August at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, taste some delicious Papua New Guinea coffees and meet the people behind them!

Presented by the Papua New Guinea Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) and supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-Papua New Guinea Partnership.”

Who Coffee Industry Corporation is

“The Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) is an entity formed through the Coffee Act 1991. Our main mandate is Regulation, Research and Marketing & Promotion. Through annual licensing CIC licensees conduct coffee business. This year 32 exporters, 17 commercial roasters and over 100 processors were licensed as coffee businesses to process (dry and wet), roast and export green coffee.
The CIC is pleased to be supporting the 2023 MICE Event as it is a great avenue to promote and inform our biggest market and users of PNG Coffee of the changes within our coffee industry.  In particular to highlight the PNG Green Bean Coffee Standards which places more emphasis on the quality of coffee but also has something for everyone that loves that Niugini Coffee Taste.”

Who is APEP?

“Papua New Guinea Australia Partnership”

The Australian government is focused on promoting PNG’s overall economic growth, particularly developing the agriculture sector as a critical component of national progress. Its support to the Papua New Guinea government is delivered through PNG Australia Partnership.

This support is extended to the coffee industry, through CIC, to increase market access opportunities for male and female coffee producer groups and exporters, improve extension, certifications, processing, and financing.
