SUBMISSION OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR 2023 OPERATION

SUBJECT : SUBMISSION OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR 2023 OPERATION

The Coffee Industry Corporation Ltd conferred with Statutory Functions and Powers under the Coffee Industry Corporation Act 1991 is to carry out coffee research, extension services and regulations of the coffee industry in PNG.

As a regulatory and compliance fulfilment of licensed operator’s requirements, all licensed operators and permit holders are subject to license review inspections at the end of each year. Hence, CICL advises all licensed coffee dealers in Wet and Dry Processors, Exporters, Roasting/Manufacturers, Freight Forwarders and Permit-to-Build to apply for year 2023 licensing with prescribed fees to renew or seek new operating license. Refer to license fee table to pay for your respective categories.

For any specific clarification, you are advised to consult CIC Coffee Inspections office either in Mt Hagen, Goroka or Lae. Any interested entity wishing to invest in coffee industry as a licensed coffee dealer may seek further information from our Program Manager –Regulatory and Compliance, Mr Johnem PUSA on email jpusa@cic.org.pg or johnempusa@gmail.com.

Site inspections to all Parchment Buyers, Processing facilities, Exports, Manufacturing, Freight Forwarders and Permit-to-Build premises will commence on the 24th of October and end on the 30th of November 2022. A senior management personnel must be on site to receive the Inspections Team and provide necessary information and take the team through the facilities for inspections.

All applications must be lodged starting 17th October until 30th November 2022 for registrations in preparation for Board submission. To those who submit application after 30th November 2022, a penalty fine will be imposed.

It is advisable that completed applications be lodged to CIC inspection office at Goroka, Mt Hagen or Lae with appropriate fees paid in full. Deposit slips ONLY for registration will not be accepted. A letter specifying operational overview, identifying the facility/s and locations has to be provided for our convenience.

Cash or cheque deposits can be made into COFFEE INDUSTRY CORPORATION LIMITED INTERNAL REVENUE (CICL Internal Revenue) ACCOUNT NUMBER 7018355557 and provide deposit slips indicating company name and facility you are registering.
