From diverse and dramatic landscapes, we’re proud to celebrate the quality coffee of Papua New Guinea. Quality Bourbon, Typica and Blue Mountain Arabica varietals planted throughout the high altitudes of PNG’s coffee lands provide a strong foundation for delicious specialty coffees and the multitude of unique micro-climates offer an exciting range of flavour profiles to discover. With coffee providing crucial income for over 2.5million Papua New Guineans, sourcing your coffee from PNG not only provides you with unique coffees for coffee lovers worldwide but will also support countless families.

Participating Producers and Exporters

We’re proud to introduce the producers and exporters from the diverse PNG landscapes who will be attending and presenting their coffee at MICE 2023!

Central Mamina

Produced at 1,900 metres above sea level, this special lot was selected out from the rest of the organization’s producers as being of exceptional quality. This coffee provides a great showcase for what this remote and often overlooked region of Colombia has to offer.

The municipality of Inzá is located in the corner of the Department of Cauca, bordering with Tolima and Huila and looking out to the west over the Pacific Ocean. Situated on the “Macizo Colombiano” (the Colombian Plateau), which surrounds the high peaks of Tolima and Huila, the region is an important source of water and wildlife, in addition to being prime coffee growing land.

Coffee Industry Corporation

The Coffee Industry Corporation is an entity formed through the Coffee Act 1991. Our main mandate is Regulation, Research and Marketing & Promotion. Through annual licensing CIC licensees conduct coffee business. This year 32 exporters, 17 commercial roasters and over 100 processors were licensed as coffee businesses to process (dry and wet), roast and export green coffee.
The CIC is pleased to be supporting the 2023 MICE Event as it is a great avenue to promote and inform our biggest market and users of PNG Coffee of the changes within our coffee industry.  In particular to highlight the PNG Green Bean Coffee Standards which places more emphasis on the quality of coffee but also has something for everyone that loves that Niugini Coffee Taste.
